"Situation Review (free)?"... I thought nothing was "Free"

When considering working with a consultant, business service provider, landscaper, or any other service-based company, a "Free Consultation" is usually part of the process. In many ways it's similar to going on a blind date. Are we compatible, what do we have to offer each other, is there chemistry, is working together worth my time and money?
A "Situation Review (free)" is a professional way of saying "let's interview each other", "let's test the water" or "let's do coffee and see what kind of magic exists".
Similar to the hiring of a new employee, working with a consultant or service provider is risky. Potential negative financial impact, time consumption, and if it doesn't work out disappointment, frustration, and embarrassment. But if the relationship does work out, it can be exceedingly effective, energizing, profitable, and everyone feels and looks good.

So back to the "Free" part
The beauty of a "Free Consultation" is that it only costs a small amount of time. In almost all cases, the cost of that time is usually rewarded with:
New and usable knowledge
A different perspective
New resource pools
Possibly a written proposal that provides even more free knowledge, perspective, and resource options
Most importantly, a chance to possibly kick-start your organization into a more functionally efficient, and financially rewarding future.
So maybe it's not 100% free, but if the consultant or service provider is an expert at what they do, the investment of your time is almost always worth it.
So let's get together. A "free consultation" works, and I will give you my best, but let's simply connect to compare life experience, talk shop, and see if there is some obvious value to be gained through working together. Carpe Diem - ML
